What StockTag Does

StockTag helps merchants keep a product-level Out of Stock tag aligned with product inventory in Shopify. StockTag is operated by Tiny Merchant Tools.

Information We Process

StockTag uses Shopify shop data that is necessary to operate the app, including shop domain, app session records, product IDs, variant inventory status, product tags, and webhook payloads related to inventory changes.

Customer Data

StockTag does not require customer, order, payment, or shipping address data to provide its core inventory tagging functionality.

How Information Is Used

  • Authenticate the merchant and maintain app sessions.
  • Receive inventory update webhooks from Shopify.
  • Determine whether products should have the Out of Stock tag.
  • Apply or remove product tags through the Shopify Admin API.

Data Sharing

StockTag does not sell merchant or customer data. Data is used only to provide and maintain the app.

Data Retention

App session records are retained while the app is installed and are deleted after uninstall or shop redaction requests, unless retention is required by law.

Privacy Requests

StockTag responds to Shopify mandatory compliance webhooks for customer data requests, customer redaction requests, and shop redaction requests.
